History of Crestline Baptist Church

Crestline Baptist Church was organized August 25, 1993 in the home of Bob and Bessie Chandler at 8056 Sunshine Circle in Manora Estates, Tuscaloosa, AL.  The group consisted of concerned Christians who believed there was a need for

a church in the area where Crestline is now located.  They met on a Wednesday evening with Bro Marvin Palmer, Director of New Work for the Tuscaloosa County Baptist Association.  After much prayer and discussion, the church was organized.

Rev Edwin King was called as the first pastor.  The first service was held Sunday, October 3, 1993 at the present site.  Exalting Christ, worshipping God and through the Power of the Holy Spirit presenting the Gospel of Salvation to the lost while ministering to the Spiritual needs of all people of all ages.  This is the reason for Crestline being established.

Rev Ed King pastored Crestline for 20 years.  When he retired, Bro Billy Gray accepted the call to serve as interim.  On July 20, 2014 Rev Irby Jackson was voted in as the new pastor.

After serving for 19 years as the music minister, Bro George Hinton

retired in August of 2015.

On July 31, 2016 Danny Hall was called to be our new music minister.

On August 20, 2017, Leon C. Winters Jr. was voted in as pastor of Crestline Baptist Church.  His first day of service was August 27, 2017.
